Investigations & Threat Assessment

The Investigations and Threat Assessment Section plays a critical role in the well-being and safety of the university community.  Personnel assigned to the Investigations and Threat Assessment Section are trained to investigate complex criminal cases and work with federal, state and local agencies to assess and mitigate threats that may have a negative impact on the safety of our community.

Additionally, Investigations and Threat Assessment Section personnel are assigned cases involving any and all crimes committed on the FIU Modesto A. Maidique, Engineering Center, and Biscayne Bay Campuses.  The Investigations and Threat Assessment Section personnel work closely with the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, Victim Empowerment, Human Resources, Student Affairs, Office of Inclusion-Diversity-Equity & Access, and the Office of the President, to provide an environment that is free from danger and conducive to a well-rounded and healthy learning experience.
